Meridian Nut Growers was created to fill several needs among small to medium sized growers and processors. Among these needs were:

To bring growers together in order to increase the amount of product available, which made it possible to meet the demands of larger customers. By creating Meridian Nut Growers, it also increased the customer service resources.
To decrease the cost of marketing and establishing new markets, which could be prohibitive for smaller companies. By spreading the cost of marketing over more pounds, these costs become less to the individual grower and/or processor.
For growers to become more involved in the marketing of their crop. To help them become price makers rather than price takers.
For growers to have a reliable and accurate source of market information.
Our current customers need for more products than we could supply from one grower and or processor. Meridian Nut makes it advantageous for customers who prefer buying from a direct source rather than a broker or trader that works with any supplier.
To move beyond selling a bulk commodity and look for ways to add value to their crop.
To be able to service the buyers who wanted not only a reasonable price, but great service as well.
